SAUVARY, Josephine Melba (née Betts) (Jo)

Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Care Home on Wednesday, 1 February, 2017, in her 101st year, devoted wife of the late Jack Sauvary, beloved mother to Jane and Robin, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all her family.

Family and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Jo are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier on Tuesday, 14 February at 1. 15 pm. No mourning clothes. RICHARD, Ernest Raymond (Rich)

Also known as Ernie Chevert. Passed away on Tuesday, 31 January, 2017 in his 86th year, beloved husband of Pauline (née Luce) for 60 years, brother to George, Maureen and the late Charlie. Rich was brought up by Jack and Alice Chevert from a baby as his mum, (Alice’s sister), had passed away. He was a kind and gentle man and respected by many. Died peacefully at the General Hospital on Thursday, 2 February, 2017, surrounded by her family, loving wife of Ron, mother to Robert, Julie and Christiane, mother-in-law to Leslie, Paul and Sharon, Nanny to Natasha, Hayley, Portia and Phillip and great-grandmother to Olivia, Cameron, Finley and Hayden. BARNES, Hayley Ann (née Nixon)

Brent, Luke, Lauren and family wish to sincerely thank all those who attended Hayley’s funeral and to share with us the celebration of the life of this wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, Auntie and friend to so many. Thank you to all those who sent cards, letters, flowers and messages of condolence and comfort. Our special thanks also to the doctors and staff of the Jersey Oncology unit for the care they have given Hayley throughout her journey. A very special thanks to Dr Jim Allardice and Professor Stephen Johnston who between them ensured that Hayley received the most up-to-date treatments that kept Hayley with us through this long hard-fought battle. To the wonderful staff of Jersey Hospice for caring for Hayley in the last days of her life, and to Dr Roger Marson-Smith for all his care and support. Special thanks to Reverend Mark Bond for the wonderful service which Hayley would have loved, and to Paul and his team at the Corbière Phare for catering for us so well at the reception. We thank most sincerely Paul Battrick MBE of Pitcher & Le Quesne for dealing with Hayley’s arrangements in such a sensitive, understanding and caring way. Hayley’s passing has left an immense void in our lives, a void that can only be eased with wonderful memories of such an amazing special person. Her smile and laughter will live with us forever.
