31. 05. 1961 – 28. 04. 2016. Remembering a great man with love, respect and admiration. He rose above his disabilities with fortitude and humour, always thinking of others. Anne and family have been overwhelmed by the sympathy and support of friends during the last few weeks. Most heartfelt thanks to those who attended the funeral, especially Mrs Rena Menzies who delivered such a personal and friendly service, Ian MacFeeters for his excellent music and Gregor Allen for a wonderful farewell on the bagpipes. Many thanks also to John Carey for his rendering of the poem. All cards, letters, flowers and cakes have been a great comfort and much appreciated. We are so grateful to the staff on Portelet Ward and the Family Nursing team, who were incredibly kind and affectionate and to Dr Coates.
