Our quiet, brave and dignified old soldier sadly, but peacefully, passed away in his 97th year, in the tender care of Portelet Ward at the General Hospital on Friday, 29 April, 2016, loving husband of the late Doris, much-loved father to Sheron and Phil and Andrew and Mallie, grandfather to Abbie and James, Ashlie, Andie and Hayley, Thom and Emily, Tamsin and Mark and Aimie and Freddie, great-grandfather to Charlie and Kyle, Cole, Jude, Cameron, Grace, Stellan, Soren, Thea and Max and great-great-grandfather to Lilah and Jace. 31. 05. 1961 – 28. 04. 2016. Remembering a great man with love, respect and admiration. He rose above his disabilities with fortitude and humour, always thinking of others. An inspiration and a friend to many. Glen will be greatly missed by EYECAN clients, volunteers, staff and Committee. He will not be forgotten.

Maureen, David and the family of the late Joan Kathleen Le Boutillier wish to express their deep appreciation to those who have offered such kindness, support and messages of sympathy and comfort in our bereavement. Anne and family have been overwhelmed by the sympathy and support of friends during the last few weeks. Most heartfelt thanks to those who attended the funeral, especially Mrs Rena Menzies who delivered such a personal and friendly service, Ian MacFeeters for his excellent music and Gregor Allen for a wonderful farewell on the bagpipes. Many thanks also to John Carey for his rendering of the poem. All cards, letters, flowers and cakes have been a great comfort and much appreciated. We are so grateful to the staff on Portelet Ward and the Family Nursing team, who were incredibly kind and affectionate and to Dr Coates.
