HALLIWELL, Michael (Reverend Canon)

Died peacefully in Warwickshire on Sunday, 4 August, 2024 after a short illness, aged 96, and is now reunited with his adored wife Susan. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched, but especially by his brother Richard, and his children, Katharine, Philip, Elisabeth, David and Rachel and their families.

The funeral will take place at Romsey Abbey on Thursday, 5 September at 11.30 am.

A memorial service will be held at St Brelade’s Church on Sunday, 8 September at 3 pm, followed by tea in the church hall.

All are welcome.

STEVENS, Fiona Jane (née Little)

Passed away suddenly on Sunday, 28 July, 2024, aged 57, loving partner of Richard III, beloved mother of Megan and Jake and Nanny to Erin, Caoimhe and Ada. She will be sorely missed.

BARTON, Mary (née Cutland)

Passed away in the care of the General Hospital on Wednesday, 7 August, 2024 aged 86 years. Now reunited with Peter, much-loved Mum to Mandy and Nick. Mary will be missed by all her family and friends.

Mary’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 4 September at 11.30 am in St Patricks Catholic Church followed by a private cremation.

PINEL, Roy

Pam and family would like to thank all those who sent cards, donations and those who attended Roy’s recent funeral. With special thanks to Dr Albert for his constant care over the last few years, the nurses on surgical at the hospital and especially all of the staff at Les Charrieres Care Home who enabled Roy’s family to spend as much time as possible with him during his last few days. Many thanks also to Mark at Maillards for putting together such a moving tribute and arranging the horse drawn hearse for Roy’s last journey which was especially fitting. Finally a special thanks to the Rev Beverley Sproats, the Rector of St John’s Church for conducting such a meaningful and comforting service celebrating Roy’s life.
