Aileen and Paul would like to thank all our family and friends for the cards, letters and phone calls following the death of their father. Also to all who attended his funeral and kindly donated to the chosen charities. Our warmest thanks to all the staff of the St Ewold’s Residential Home, in whose loving care Dad spent a happy year. With gratitude to the staff of Corbière Ward, Dr R Marson-Smith and doctors at Indigo House for their care over the years. Special thanks to Msgr Nicholas France for a lovely service, and to the Knights of St Columba for attending. To the staff of the Flag and Whistle and Dad’s friends in the Accordion and Music Club for giving him a perfect, musical farewell. Former GMR (Grand Maestro Ristorazione) of AMIRA International and Treasurer of AMIRA Jersey. The members of AMIRA note with sadness, the passing of one of Jersey’s older and most hard-working members. Giuseppe was committed to the highest professional standard, combined with his honesty and friendly nature all the association represented. Our sympathies are extended particularly to his widow Denise, his daughters and grandchildren.

LAIGNEL, Martin Leon
Christine and Richard would like to thank most sincerely the staff at the Intensive Care Unit, the wonderful nurses from the Hospice and from Family Nursing and the carers who all made it possible for Martin to be in his own home when he died. Our thanks to all those who have made donations to the Hospice in Martin’s memory, to everyone who sent us such greatly appreciated cards and letters, to the Reverend Michael Phillips for the funeral service, to the choir and to all family and friends who came to say goodbye to Martin. A further thank you to Ken Browne of Maillard’s for arranging the funeral in such a kind and sensitive way.

Passed away peacefully at Clifton Care Home, after a short illness, on Sunday, 20 December, 2015, aged 96 years, loving grandmother to Andrew and his family. Will be sadly missed.
