Jackie would like to thank all those who sent cards and those who attended David’s funeral. Thank you to those who sent donations to Mind in his memory. Most grateful thanks to Mr Pai and his team for their valiant efforts to save his life when he needed emergency surgery, to Dr Prince and his team who tried so hard to give him the strength to live when his heart started to fail and to the nursing staff in ICU at the General Hospital who could not have been more caring. Thanks to Rev Debbie Godefroy for a lovely service and to Ken Browne from Maillard’s for his compassion at such a sad time. Thank you also to Mr Clive Cooper, the organist, who recalled his own memories of David as he left the crematorium. Finally, thank you to Dr Simon Thompson for looking after David so patiently during the last few years when his health was not the best.

A much-loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. One year has passed since you slipped away. We miss the pop-ins we had every day. Time’s a healer, or so they say, But loving memories will always stay. Forever in our hearts.

PICKERSGILL, Adelaide May (née Eastwood)

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Lakeside, on Tuesday, 29 September, 2015, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Ken, mother of Barry, Brett and Neal, mother-in-law of Jane and Gillian, Gran to Laura, Ben, Lizzie, Joshua, Zachary and Cassie.

The funeral service for Adelaide will be held at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier, on Tuesday, 13 October at noon, all relatives and friends are welcome to attend. All inquiries to Pitcher & Le Quesne, Funeral Directors, Telephone 733330.
