McGLYNN, ‘Uncle Bill’

Remembered by David, Lisa, Steven, Zoe, Wendy and Sheila for many happy visits to the Isle of Wight and vice versa. He spent many hours yarning and drinking in the IOW Conservative Club in Newport also the British Legion Club as a member of both. We had happy hours of traversing America for months at a time and of course ‘up north’ as he was after all a Lancashire Lad. Memo ‘We made a good job of that garden didn’t we Will. ‘

‘D-Day Veteran’Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital, on Monday, 14 September, 2015, aged 91 years, devoted husband of 62 years to Winifred, loving father to Martin and Andrew, a loving Poppa to Carly-Rose, William and Zachary.
