My much-loved brother Dickie passed away on Tuesday, 8 September, 2015, after a long illness in the great care of the ICU at the General Hospital, borne with great courage and dignity, whilst always retaining his sense of humour. Rest in peace.

Thanks to Reverend Christine Legge for conducting the service, her special words about John and her kindness throughout and our appreciation goes to dear Dean and Monty for their beautiful readings. Thanks also to the St Peter’s Football Club committee and members for all their thoughtfulness and help, to the committee, staff and residents of Maison Le Marquand for all their concern and friendship throughout John’s illness, to the nurses and doctors on Plémont, HDU and Sorel Wards and Island Medical Centre doctors for their kind care and attention. Finally thank you to Steve de Ste Croix at Maillard’s for the funeral arrangements and his sympathetic help and advice at all times. John would have been overwhelmed with all the kindness.
