LAWTON, John Alfred

Passed away very peacefully on Friday, 7 August, 2015, aged 83 years, surrounded by his family, greatly loved husband of Marie (Mary) and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, step-father and step-grandfather. Funeral private. Family flowers only. Thanksgiving Service in Jersey to be announced at a later date. Special thanks to the HDU’s nursing staff, in particular to Laura Smith, she cared for John with great compassion and devotion. MATTHEWS, Henry

Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the General Hospital, on Saturday, 8 August, 2015, aged 82 years, much-loved husband of the late Betty, devoted father to Mo, Bev and Debbie and a wonderful father-in-law to Jill, Peter and Colin, adored Pops and great-Pops to James and Ornellia, Chris and Georgina, Boris and Brigit, Luke and Sinead, Josh, Evelyn, William, Eden, Erin and Nolan, partner to Maureen. Passed away suddenly but peacefully, on Thursday, 6 August, 2015, a week before his 65th birthday, in the tender care of Jersey Hospice. Terence James, adored husband and soul mate of Sylvia, much-loved father of Paul and Mark, father-in-law of Emma, devoted ‘Da’ of Harry and step-Grandad to Lucy, also loving brother to Mick and John and brother-in-law of Liz and Fionuala and Jeff and Corinne.
