MINIHANE, Thomas Roy

Daphne and family would like to thank everyone who attended the service, Telephoned, sent cards, letters, flowers, messages of condolence, Mass Cards and donations to the Little Sisters, Age Concern and Family Nursing in memory of their loved one. Special thanks to the Little Sisters and staff who took such loving care of Tom during the last months of his life and to Dr John Howell for his support over many years. We thank Monsignor France for the beautiful consoling Funeral Mass, Jamie for the Reading, Gite-Maj Donoghue for her rendering of ‘Pie Jesu’, Gareth and Luke for their playing of the ‘Sunset’ Bugle Call and the organist and People’s Choir for the music. Nigel’s tribute to ‘Our Dad’ on behalf of the family and Katie’s tribute to ‘Our Papa’ on behalf of the grandchildren brought home to us what a special person we had lost who will never be forgotten. Finally we thank ‘Pallot’s’ for the beautiful floral arrangements and Paul Battrick from Pitcher & Le Quesne for organising the funeral arrangements.

TURNER, Gerald Evelyn Neville (Gen)

Passed away unexpectedly at the General Hospital, on Tuesday, 23 June, 2015, on his 87th birthday, darling husband of Jennifer and ‘Father’ to Amanda. He will be greatly missed but will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband and regarded with great fondness by all who knew him. A perfect gentleman. Many thanks to the doctors and staff at Indigo House, the General Hospital, Overdale and to Family Nursing for all their wonderful care and consideration.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Palm Springs Nursing Home on Monday, 22 June, 2015, aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late Eric, much-loved mother of Wendy, Penny and the late Paul, greatly loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Always in our thoughts.

After putting up such a brave and determined fight, Billy sadly passed away on Wednesday, 24 June, 2015, in the arms of his family and in the exceptional care of Portelet Ward at the General Hospital. A truly remarkable, kind, dignified and brave man, once again reunited with his beloved wife Chris. Known and loved by many from his forty years at Cleveland Garages and thereafter at Hill Samuel bank. The most wonderful father to Jenny, Tony, Justin and Emma, dearly-loved father-in-law to Maria and Steve and simply the best Grandad to Amy, James, Sam, Ben and ‘the Puppies’. Jane, Sara, Emma and family wish to thank everyone who attended the Thanksgiving Service and for the cards, donations, letters, meals, cakes, flowers and many other generous gestures we have recieved. We are quite overwhelmed. Thank you too, to the wonderful Hospice Team (our very dear friends). The amazing Oncology Team and many other medical professionals along our journey.
