His fantastic sense of humour carried over in whatever motorsport discipline he was involved in, racing not only in Jersey but the UK. Gone but never forgotten by the racing community of the Jersey Kart and Motor Club.

Rose would like to thank Dr C Mattock and the dedicated team on the Oncology Unit for their efforts and support to Don during his illness, also to the nurses and staff on Sorel Ward. Thanks to Pastor Brian Vibert for leading the uplifting service supported by the Verger Ruth White, to Alan Mollet organist and to everyone who attended, to those who sent cards, letters and have made donations to Cancer Relief, and offered and gave love and support and assistance to us, you really did make a difference at a difficult time. Thanks to James for his ‘memories of Don’ also to Simon for the reading and to Amelda and Sinead from Hospice, Family Nursing, especially Michelle.
