Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Jersey Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, 18 April, 2015, in her 85th year, beloved wife of 60 years to John, much-loved Mum of Michael. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends in Jersey, Madeira and Brazil. Funeral details to follow. Fay, Darren, Jacqui and their families would like to thank all those who attended Dermot’s funeral at St Patrick’s, your support at this time was a huge source of comfort. Thank you for the many cards, messages, letters, phone calls, flowers and offers of help. Every single message was read and valued by all of us. Thank you to Canon France for conducting a beautiful service, to the organist, choir and to Simon Millon for his wonderful rendition of ‘How Great Thou Art’ one of Dermot’s favourites. Thank you to Paul, Gareth and the team at Pitcher & Le Quesne for their kindness and sensitivity at such a difficult time. Thank you to those who made a donation to Jersey Teenage Cancer Trust which was always Dermot’s favourite cause. Finally to family members who were a huge support in Tenerife when Dermot became ill and in Jersey in the days and weeks that followed. The family came together from France, Sweden, England and Jersey to support each other. Family was everything to Dermot and he would have been so proud God bless.
