ARTHUR, David John

Nanette and David wish to thank the Intensive Care Unit at the General Hospital, together with Maureen Turner, Hospital Chaplain, for their wonderful care and kindness toward David. The excellent support from Lynsey, who led the service at the Crematorium, and Steve at Maillard’s Funeral Directors. To Lawrence and Vicky for their lovely participation in the service, and to so many friends who came to pay their respects, and celebrate the life of David. Many thanks to everyone who made phone calls, sent cards and made donations.

GALLICHAN, Rosemary

Elaine and family would like to thank Dr McBride, Dr Bashforth and all the doctors and staff of Health Plus Medical Practice for their care and support over the years. Thanks also go to Ann McLean and staff of St Ewolds Residential Home, and special thanks to the wonderful nursing care team of Lakeside Care Home, all of whom supported and cared for Rosemary so well, helping her to cope with her declining health with courage, laughter and good humour. Thanks to everyone who attended Rosemary’s funeral, for the cards, good wishes, and donations to the National Osteoporosis Society. Particular thanks go to the Rev’d Mike Taylor, and the choir at St Andrew’s Church for a beautiful service, and to Andy and team at Pitcher & Le Quesne for their kindness, support and understanding.

CALVERT, Harry

Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital, on Easter Sunday, 5 April, 2015, aged 82 years, much-loved husband of Doreen, devoted father of Julie and Brian, beloved father-in-law to Joanne, loving Grandad to Robert, Naomi, Jordan, Courtney and Alice, and a step-Grandad to Fiona. Will be sadly missed by all your family and friends. God bless, sleep tight. You will always be in our thoughts and dreams.

Ended her journey peacefully at Lakeside Care Home, on Saturday, 4 April, 2015, a treasured Mum to Alan and Jim, who will be sadly missed but always fondly remembered and loved.

WALKEY, Valerie Joan (née Journeaux)

Sadly passed away on Monday, 6 April, 2015, aged 76 years, with her family by her side, in the loving care of Clarkson House, after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity, devoted wife of the late Graeme, adored mother to Karen and Michelle, loving mother-in-law to David and Nicholas and much-loved Grandma of Matthew, Stephanie, Sophie and Melissa. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
