Aged 89 years, John died suddenly at the Royal Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford on Saturday, 20 January, 2024, much-loved by his family and friends.
Details of the funeral in Oxfordshire to be announced later.
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 18 January, 2024, 91 years young.
You never lost your twinkling eye and fun sense of humour. I’ve no doubt you are now busy putting together a football team and causing havoc with Jeff on the other side.
Sleep well; you will be greatly missed.
Jennie, Jonas and Indra Ekedahl x.
Remembering a wonderful wife, Mum and Nanny.
18 years have passed by, but you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We love and miss you.

I’d like to thank all who attend John’s funeral, and the Reverend Tracy Bromley for conducting such a lovely service. Thanks are due also to the staff of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care, and Silver Lea for taking good care of John. Also included are the staff at Dementia Jersey for the support of John throughout.
