MATHEW, Glenn.

Rosie, Luc and the Mathew family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who sent cards, letters and flowers, and those who donated to Parkinson’s Jersey in Glenn’s memory. All those who attended the funeral service (we’ve never seen the Crematorium so packed!) and all those who joined us to celebrate Glenn’s life at the wake afterwards. Special thanks to Reverend Tracy Bromley for a lovely and very personal service, to organist Graham Caldbeck, and to Andy Errington-Rennell of Pitcher & Le Quesne for his comforting and sensitive support. Glenn’s wish was for a joyful celebration of his life, no tears by request. Well, thank you to everybody who made that happen, he would have been overwhelmed!

NEWMAN, Olly

For my brave son, a beloved brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend of many; gone too soon, 24 January, 2023.

The kindness of others provided warmth this first year without you, but my broken-heart still feels the cold without your warm hand to hold.

‘If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.’

Although I sense you may like a cooler quote:

‘Meet me where the sky touches the sea.’

Love you always, Mum x.

My thanks to all those helping our family with the aftermath and grief, the hugs and sharing fond stories of Olly and the support from Jersey Hospice Care’s Community Bereavement Service.
