Caroline and family would like to thank everyone who attended the funeral service for Sister Phyllis Moyse held at the Chapel at the Little Sisters of the Poor, also for all the beautiful flowers, cards and words of kindness that were received. In particular, we were delighted that Soeur Marie Françoise was able to travel over to Jersey and contribute some very special memories of Sister Phyllis’ early years serving as a nun. Also, our thanks go to Sister Marie Louise – a long-term friend of Sister Phyllis who read so beautifully at the service. We would like to extend our thanks to the dedicated team who worked at the Little Sisters of the Poor, providing the much-needed sensitive care and tenderness while looking after Phyllis particularly during the latter stages of her life, to ensure her comfort at all times. In particular, we would like to thank Sister Mary Bridgette for helping to support the family before and after the funeral, including a wonderful buffet for people to spend time to celebrate Phyllis’ life together, reflecting on so many special memories. In addition, our thanks to Dr Higgins, for being there for Phyllis whenever she needed help and support and for looking after her for many years. Latterly, our thanks extend also to Dr Winspear who looked after Phyllis’ needs and care during her final weeks. We are very grateful for the help and support provided by Paul Battrick MBE and his team at Pitcher & Le Quesne for ensuring all the arrangements were in place for this special time.
