20 February, 1948 – 25 November, 2014. Beloved wife of David and adored mother of Robert and Steven, passed away peacefully at Clarkson House, on Tuesday, 25 November 2014. DAVIES, Iris Mary

Passed away peacefully in her 98th year in the wonderful care of Silver Springs Care Home, on Tuesday, 25 November, 2014, loving wife of the late John Davies and devoted and dearly-loved mother of Ann, Vic, Cherrylyn and the late Peter, the most wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be so sadly missed and always remembered with love and affection. CARR, Mavis

Advocate Richard Michel for reading the poem ‘Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep’ a poem that meant a lot to May. Florist Jackie for the beautiful wreaths all portrayed in May’s racing colours. The funeral choir who uplifted everyone’s hearts by leading the singing of the hymns. The Connétable of St Ouën, the Parish Hall staff and the Honorary Police who so professionally policed the roads and car park enabling so many of you to be able to attend. The girls from the hospice shop who made the retiring collection for Jersey Hospice, a charity close to May’s heart, which we believe collected in excess of £930, thank you the congregation of 340 plus for being so generous. Matthew Wainwright for the catering, ensuring that everyone was well fed and watered, and finally thank you to Gary Tye of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for their guidance and understanding at such a difficult time.

JOUANNY, Jean Louis (Jack)

Barbara and family thank you all for attending Jack’s service on 14 November. We thank you for all the cards, letters and calls which gave us much comfort. We thank Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh for conducting a beautiful service and nephew Malcolm L’Amy for playing the organ and learning the piano accordion especially for the occasion and also the choir for their lovely voices. Thanks to the wonderful staff on Beauport and Portelet wards who took such good care of Jack over the past 10 weeks, also to Dr Perkins for his many years of care. Many thanks to Jackie Le Cornu of Flowers by Jackie for the perfect flowers and grateful thanks to all who have made donations to Little Sisters of the Poor.
