Died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, 26 September, 2014 at Esther House, Manchester, beloved mother of Sandra and mother-in-law to Stewart. She will be sadly missed by her grandsons and their families Mark, Sam, Megan and Niamh, Richard, Victoria, Thomas, Lucy and Samuel. We will always love you and keep our treasured memories of you close to our hearts.
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, 27 September, 2014, loving wife of Lewis, adored mother of Michael, Caroline, Diane and Susan, mother-in-law of Jane, David and Basil, special Nan of Shane, Jack and Max. Alan’s family would like to thank all the kind people who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement. Thanks to all who called, sent cards of condolence, made donations in Alan’s memory and attended the service at the Crematorium Chapel. Grateful thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the General Hospital for the care Alan received during his many admissions. In particular, special thanks to Dr Kumar and his team and the staff in the Renal and Diabetic Units. Thanks to the staff of Family Nursing and Home Care. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Highlands Care Home who did their very best for Alan during the last 10 months of his life. The support and kindness shown to Alan is gratefully acknowledged by his family. We would also like to thank Reverend Billy Slatter for leading such a wonderfully personalised service which told the story of Alan’s life so perfectly, adding just the right amount of humour and reflection. Big thanks to Penny and staff at The Post Horn for helping Alan’s family and friends celebrate his life in style. Special thanks to Ray, George, Debbie B and Lynn for the many many visits of support to Alan over the last 12 months and for being such caring friends over many years.
