Mary, Stephen, Gillian, Charles and Victoria and their families have been overwhelmed by the love and support shown to us at this difficult time. We would like to thank everyone who sympathised with them at the sad loss of John, those who sent flowers, cards and letters of condolence and the hundreds who attended his funeral service. Thanks also to Dr Amanda Jones and the Oncology unit, Dr Nicky Bailhache at Palliative Care and Dr Ellis for their help and care throughout, to Family Nursing & Home Care and Jersey Cancer Relief and all the staff on Bartlett Ward. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone at Jersey Hospice, where their love, care and dedication helped not only John, but all of us as well. Thank you to the Rev Ian Pallent for holding the funeral service to celebrate John’s life and finally to Paul Battrick MBE of Pitcher & Le Quesne for handling all of the funeral arrangements with tact, discretion and compassion.
