Sorry for the delay. Anita, Simon, Russell, Jeremy and their families thank all who sent lovely cards and messages on the loss of Mick. Thanks go to the caring staff at the Jersey General Hospital, and at Jersey Hospice, and to all at Le Petit Bosquet. To Paul Kemp of de Gruchy Funeral Care who couldn’t do enough to ensure we had exactly what we wanted for the funeral service. Our thanks to all the friends, ex colleagues and neighbours who attended the service. Thank you to Rev Tracy Le C Bromley for a beautiful service, and going to see Jeremy in hospital afterwards. Sincere thanks to the wonderful Jersey Fire and Rescue Service for everything they did for Mick, for taking the new hydraulic platform to Le Petit Bosquet so he could see it, and for putting it through its paces on a special visit to the station 5 days before he passed away. Also, for the fire engine leading us from home to the Crematorium and the fire officers outside the station as we passed. Appreciation to Mark Birrell for organising this and for reading the Fireman’s Prayer at the service.

Thank you all.
