Joyce, Clare, Chris and family would like to thank everyone who sent cards, messages and letters of condolence, which brought us great comfort. To all who contributed to our two chosen charities and to everyone who attended Don’s funeral, our grateful thanks to the Rev Adrian Pearce for his wonderful service conducted with sensitivity and humour, we are truly grateful. Thanks to our GPs Dr Mike Carpenter and Dr Annabel Norman for their care of Don over many months. To all the consultants, doctors, Nursing and Physiotherapy staff at the Jersey General Hospital for all their help, concern and kindness during Don’s illness. Grateful thanks also to Family Nursing & Home Care for their care and support for Don at home and our sincere thanks for helping him to smile again. A big thank you to all the staff in ICU who cared for Don during his last few days. Sincere thanks also to Mr Ken Browne of Maillard’s for his compassion and kindness at this difficult time. To the Greenhills Hotel for such a lovely buffet and to all of you who came to share your memories of Don to help us celebrate his life, our grateful thanks to you all.

Phillip, Angela and John and all the family would like to thank all kind relatives and friends for their sympathy, love and friendship in their recent sad loss. Many thanks to all who sent flowers, cards and messages of condolence, made donations to Diabetes Jersey and attended the funeral service. Special thanks for their care and attention to Dorothy go to so many – Dr Philippa Venn, Drs and staff at Cleveland Clinic and Dr Chris Mattock. To all at Pinewood Residential Home where Dorothy enjoyed such love and friendship and more recently to The Limes Nursing Home for giving her peace and contentment in her last months. Heartfelt thanks to Rev David Jones for his kind words and support to Dorothy over so many years and for a most uplifting service. Also to family and many friends for their constant visits, which she treasured and appreciated. Finally grateful thanks to Pitcher & Le Quesne and especially Paul Battrick for their dignity and compassion. Thank you to one and all. God bless our dearest mother, Dorothy.
