Previously of Pomme d’Or Farm, died peacefully on Thursday, 25 July, 2013, in her 90th year, at Lakeside Village, with Sue at her side, beloved widow of John Reid and Richard (Dick) Stephens, loving aunt to Joyce and Isobel, good friend to Jan and a very special ‘Gladee’ to her much-loved niece Sue, the daughter she never had. Passed away peacefully in the care of the General Hospital, on Thursday, 25 July, 2013, aged 93 years, beloved husband of the late Joyce, much-loved father of Mike and dearest brother of Yvonne and Leslie. Eunice’s family would like to thank all the family and friends who attended her thanksgiving service and to all who have sent cards and lovely messages of condolence. Especial thanks to Rev Liz Singleton for the gracious way she conducted the service, to Alan Mollet for his sensitive musicianship and to all who contributed and made this a special memorial. Our thanks to the ladies who produced such splendid floral arrangements and to those who provided the refreshments after the funeral. Grateful thanks also to Sarah Aubert and her team from Maillard’s Funerals, for the gracious and sensitively made arrangements. Our gratitude also goes to family and church friends, who supported Eunice so generously with visits and prayers in her last years. We are greatly indebted to her doctors and especially the devoted and gentle care of the staff at Glanville Residential Home, among whom were a number of real stars.
