Eric, Pauline and family would like to thank everyone who sent messages, cards and letters of sympathy, all who attended the funeral and those who sent donations to St Paul’s Church in accordance with Eddie’s wish. We would like to thank all the staff at The Limes who took such good care of Eddie over the last four years of his life. Special thanks to Rev Paul Brooks for conducting such a moving and inspirational service in the Church Eddie had attended since the age of five. Thanks also to organist Ian MacFeeters and Barbara Frost for the Reading. To the Royal British Legion for supplying the Union Flag that was draped over Eddie’s coffin and Funeral Director Gareth John for arranging for Eddie’s medals to be on display and bugler Charles Gouyet who played the Last Post so poignantly and movingly as we left the Church. Thanks again to Gareth and all at Pitcher & Le Quesne for their kindness and care.
