Passed peacefully away in the loving care of St Helier House, on Wednesday, 27 March, 2013, aged 84 years, loving mother of Tony, much-loved mother-in-law of Ann, devoted Nan of Paul and Vickie, Tracy and Neil, also great-Grandma to Kaia, Summer and Ben. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 28 March, 2013, at the General Hospital, in his 90th year, following a short illness bravely borne, beloved husband of Pamela for more than 60 years, much-loved father of John, Peter and the late Andrea, devoted father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital, on Thursday, 28 March, 2013, aged 87 years, loving husband of Heather, much-loved father of Nigel, wife Eileen and granddaughters Chanine and Amanda (Canada), father of devoted daughter Chontal, husband Jim, grandson Karl and Tamara, granddaughter Tracey and Daniel and grandson Terry and Lisa, great-grandchildren Shane, Justin, Zac and Skye, stepfather of Patrick, wife Jayne and grandchildren Robert and Sophie (Guernsey) and Godfather of Clive (Guernsey). Alice and Leesa would like to thank all those who have sent cards and kind messages of condolence following the death of dear John. Thanks to Deacon Iain for his kindness, support and help with the funeral and Hamish, who spoke such kind words about John. We were overwhelmed by so many who attended the funeral, John would have been so pleased. Special thanks to Ron and the United Services Club for the refreshments after the service. We owe so much to Tracey and the Prostate Cancer Group, the wonderful staff at Jersey Hospice, both for inpatient and outpatient care, special mention to Sandy, Doctors Nicky Bailhache and Henri Paul, Julia and the team from Family Nursing & Home Care, Paul from Social Services and the fantastic staff from Plémont Ward, who made John’s last days so comfortable and supported us with such care. Sincere thanks to Jerry, Gary and the team from De Gruchy’s who have been with us through sunshine and snow and whose discreet support has been marvellous. Also thanks to Jackie for the most beautiful floral tribute. Last but not least we would like to thank all of our friends who have helped us through this difficult time. Mother Geraldine and the staff of the Jeanne Jugan Residence and all at De La Salle College for just ‘being there’. Most of all thanks to our dear ‘Monroe’, we cannot tell you how much we appreciate your love and support. John touched so many lives, may he live on in our memories forever.
