Died peacefully in the care of Jersey Hospice on Monday, 4 September, 2023, dearly loved wife of the late Richard, loving Mum to Fiona and much-loved Granny to Joss and Dulcie. Her smiles, laughter and wise counsel will be hugely missed by all.

CAMPBELL, Major John Alexandre (Royal Regiment of Fusiliers)

Born at Bon Air Nursing Home on 17 December, 1932, died in hospital aged 90 years on Thursday, 17 August, 2023.

The ‘Mad Major’, ‘Captain Hornblower’, aka J A Beckford-Ball. He leaves behind his devoted wife Deci, children Caroline and Sacha, grandchildren Hannah and Sophia, and great-granddaughter Billie. A character and a gentleman sadly missed.
