PLATT, Beryl Evans (née Clapham)

Died peacefully on Sunday, 16 April, 2023, aged 81 years, with her loving family at her side, adored mother of Frances, Mandy, Rhees, Lloyd and the late Alun. Beryl will be deeply missed by all her family in Jersey and Wales.

GILMOUR, William

William passed away peacefully in the loving care of Jersey Hospice on Sunday, 9 April, 2023, aged 71 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Jersey and Scotland.

William has requested that he be repatriated to Scotland where his funeral service and cremation will take place.

SMITH, Eileen Hazel (née Pirouet)

Passed away peacefully aged 75 years on Sunday, 16 April, 2023, at St Joseph’s, much-loved mother to Steven, Pip and Jenny, and grandmother to Robyn, Isaac, Eleanor, Rory, Amelia and Lucian. Eileen will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

LE MARQUAND, Betty Ann.

David, Ewan and Craig and their families would like to thank everyone who attended the celebration of Betty’s life at the Crematorium Chapel, and those who sent cards, messages of sympathy and donations to Dementia Jersey. Many thanks to Celebrant Alicia Jarvie who conducted the service and for her meaningful words. Sincere thanks also to the staff and carers at Les Charrières Nursing Home for their love and care for Betty. The family would also like to express their thanks to Julian of Maillards Funeral Directors for his support in making the funeral arrangements.

LE RICHE, Norman.

Roselle, Margaret and David would like to thank all family and friends who attended Norman’s funeral and everyone who sent cards, flowers, messages of sympathy and donations to Hospice. We would especially like to thank Julian, Mark and all at Maillards for their professional and kind manner in making all the funeral arrangements. Tracy and Brian for conducting a wonderful service that Norman would have been so delighted with. James for the Eulogy, Peter for his reading, Mary for her poem and lovely flowers in the Church, Jackie for the beautiful coffin spray and Alan for the music. Thank you also to the ladies from the St Lawrence Ladies Action Group for organizing an excellent wake. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful nurses and carers at Hospice during January and February, and St Joseph’s Care Home for their care and support at the end.

SILVESTRI, Pasquale.

Marguerite, Emma, Lucy and the family would like to thank everyone who attended Pasquale’s funeral. We were very touched by the beautiful flowers and cards we received. Our special thanks go to Elizabeth and the respiratory team, Carolyn and the wonderful heart failure team, and Ben and his team from the Oxygen Service. Our thanks also go to Father Paul Nwune for conducting such a wonderful service, the organist Malcom L’amy, the soloist Sian Goldhawk, and the Ladies Choir. Special thanks to Ruth Lea and Peter Marett for their technical prowess. Finally, our thanks and appreciation go to Alicia Jarvie and all the team at Maillards for making our goodbye to Pasquale so special for us.
