HEWITT, Max.

– Pamela and Karyn would like to say a sincere thank you to all our extended family and dear friends who attended Max’s funeral on Thursday, 24 November, and for the many kind messages and cards of condolence which have meant a great deal at this difficult time. Heartfelt thanks too, to the wonderful staff at the Jersey General Hospital who did their best to make Max’s last days comfortable, and to Dr Brendan Kellett for his kindness and care of Max over the years. Also to the Rev Canon David Shaw for his thoughtful words and compassion in making the service so comforting, and to Michael and the staff of the Royal St Martin for making Max’s final send-off so special. Finally, heartfelt thanks to Andy Errington-Rennel of Pitcher & Le Quesne Funeral Directors for all his care and kindness in handling the funeral arrangements, and to the wonderful funeral singers. Thanks too, for all the thoughtful donations in Max’s memory to Jersey Hospice Care.

DAVIES, COLIN REES

Gillian and family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who sent cards of condolence and those who attended Colin’s funeral, also the amazing and caring staff at Lakeside Care Home who provided more than just care but warmth and understanding not only to Colin but to all his family, and contributed in no small way to ensuring his final weeks were as comfortable as possible. Thanks also to our Doctors Nigel Minihane and Henry Paul for their sympathetic and speedy response when problems arose.

The arrangements by de Gruchy’s Funeral services were professional and comforting thanks to Ken Browne who carried out our wishes perfectly, and we would also like to thank Deacon Edward Hauschild for a moving and gentle service so appropriate to Colin’s way of life

FLETCHER, Sara Louise

Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, 12 October, 2022, aged 39 years, much-loved Mum of Chloe and her partner James, and the best Nana to Hunter bear, beloved partner of Jack, dearest daughter of Ann, and sister of Stephen and Graham.

Died peacefully at Jersey General Hospital on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, loving wife of the late Warren (William) Hobbs, mother of Ian and Andrew, mother-in-law of Annika and Clare, grandmother of William and Evelyn.

LE DRUILLENEC, Beryl Alice (née Jones)

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, aged 95 years in the loving care of L’Hermitage Care Home. Devoted and cherished wife of the late Richard, special, much-loved mother of Ann and the late Peter, and adored Nanny of Trudi, Jayson and the late Jacquie. Beryl will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

LE TIEC, Christine

Passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, aged 92 years. She will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, her daughters and sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Reunited with her beloved Brian.

THOMAS, Alan (Papa Al)

Lifelong biker Alan sadly passed away on Saturday, 19 November, 2022, at the age of 70. Alan was son to the late Frank and Alice, he was a wonderful, loving husband to Pauline and father to Andrew. He will be sadly missed by Liam, Brian and his sisters Jean and Joan.
