– Rebecca, Gordon, Colette and Daniel would like to thank everyone who attended the celebration of Richard’s life, also those who sent cards, flowers and telephone calls, it was very much appreciated. Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Care Home on Wednesday, 24 August, 2022, aged 93 years, now reunited with her beloved late husband Douglas.

Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, 17 September, 2022, aged 84 years, whilst in the tender care of the staff at Les Hoûmets, devoted and loving father to Sue and Debbie, father-in-law to Andrew and Ian, grandfather to Josh and Hannah, great-grandfather to Ezra, and friend to many. Reunited with his wife Maggie after four years apart. Syd will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Syd’s funeral service will take place in St Martin’s Methodist Church on Thursday, 13 October at 11.30 am.
