FRANCO, Maria Fernanda Rodrigues (née Canada)

Passed away peacefully in the General Hospital on Friday, 3 June, 2022, aged 85 years, mother to Paula, Tony, Caridade, Esperança, Richard and the late Octavio, grandmother to Jim, Kleopatra, Cliff, Kelly, Christopher, Mathew, Pedro and Ricardo, great-grandmother to Sheldon, Macey, Mackenzie, Jessica, Bradley, Ethan and Melodie. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Funeral Service

Family and friends wishing to attend Maria’s funeral service are invited to St Thomas’ Roman Catholic Church, Val Plaisant on Wednesday, 22 June at 12.15 pm.

Private cremation follows.

Passed away peacefully at home with his loving family beside him, after a difficult illness, borne with courage and dignity on Thursday, 9 June, 2022, in his 89 year, reunited with his one time love Pearlie. Adored father of Keith, Alan, Jean and Katy and wonderful beloved Grandad to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasured uncle to Karen, Janine and Kevin and all of their children. He will be sadly missed by all who those knew him.

Janet and Helen wish to thank everyone who attended Norman’s funeral, sent flowers, cards and messages of sympathy. We are sorry there are too many to respond to individually. Thanks also to Fr Nick for conducting such a meaningful service and to organist Michael Wynne. Sincere thanks to Aurelie for the beautiful solo and to Robert, Jeremy and Jon for their memories. Jeremy, the orchids were beautiful, so greatly appreciated. In addition, thanks to Shane of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for his kindness and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements. The consultants and staff in oncology for many years of professional care, and the nurses on Rozel Ward who looked after Norman in his final week. Also to Alan and the staff at the Yacht Club for their efficient service for the reception. Finally, we would like to thank our family and many friends for their kindness and support during this difficult time.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, 6 June, 2022, aged 62 years 1 week and 3 days. Beloved partner of 15 years to Maria, proud Dad to Ryan and Alex, father-in-law to Sara, Grandpops to Ren and son of Rosemary and George, adored big Bruv to Dean and his wife Charlotte and uncle to Grace, beloved stepdad to Codie and devoted Papa to Dylan.
