BROWN, Michael Tony (Bootsy Brown)

Passed away peacefully at his home in Bournemouth, aged 78 years, after a long illness. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

PALLOT, Lyndon Charles.

– Dinah, Viv, Clive and Mel would like to thank everyone who sympathised in their recent loss of Lyndon and for helping make his send off truly magnificent. Thank you for all your cards, phone calls, flowers, and donations in Lyndon’s memory. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Stephen Perchard, Family Nursing, Jersey Hospice staff, Mark Burke and the staff at Maillards, all of whom so kindly gave their expertise and personal care, and Rev Mark Bond for his comforting words and kindness during Lyndon’s brief illness and at the funeral service, also streamed overseas. In addition, the St Brelade’s Honorary Police and all 30 tractor drivers for the amazing convoy, and ITV Channel News and Collette Bisson at the JEP for their excellent coverage of the procession. To Mathew Slous and his 1952 Bedford Lorry carrying Dad to his final resting place at Les Quennevais Cemetery, a big thank you for honouring Lyndon’s wishes with such dignity. Thank you too to Barry de la Mare and Ursula Taylor for your eloquent eulogies in English and Jerriais respectively, and to the Jersey Island Band for their representation at the funeral. Finally, to everyone who contributed in various ways to the wonderful celebration of Lyndon’s life at the Pallot Steam Museum’s wake – including the Accordion Club – a massive round of applause.

Lyndon lives on in all our hearts.

BURGESS, Brenda Hilary (née Timms)

Passed away on Monday, 25 April, 2022, aged 83 years, a loving wife, Mum, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

It is with great sadness Marion’s family have to announce her passing on Monday, 2 May, 2022, at Pinewood Residential Home, a couple of weeks before her 87th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Brian, much-loved Mum to Mark and Karen, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
