Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 15 March, 2022, in her 94th year, the adored wife of the late Arthur, treasured Mum to Zola, Lindsay and Vicki, a much-loved mother-in-law, Gran and Gran Gran who will be greatly missed both here and in Spain.

A private funeral will take place.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 19 February, 2022, aged 98 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

SMITH, Margaret Ann (née Matthews)

Born 11 December, 1938, quietly passed away Wednesday, 23 February, 2022, beloved wife of the late Tony and doting Mum of Gary.

Gary would like to express his sincere thanks to the staff at Jersey Hospice Care. Margaret always received impeccable and loving care, which gives me great comfort that she was so duly looked after during her ill health.

– Ron and Mark wish to thank all of Margie’s family and friends who attended Margie’s celebration of her life, and for helping us to share so many happy memories and stories of Margie at the reception afterwards. Also thanks to everyone who expressed their condolences and sent cards and messages, and those who kindly sent donations in memory of Margie to Durrell Wildlife who will place a plaque in her memory near the flamingos. Our thanks to Beth Lloyd for leading the service and capturing the very essence of Margie so perfectly. Thanks also to Isabel and Filomena at Isabelas for supplying the very tasty buffet, to Glenn Trehiou at Surville for his understanding and kindness, to doctors Pippa Le Page, Caroline Jenkins and staff nurse Trina for the care and kindness they gave Margie. FARDON, Charles Alastair (Terry)

Died peacefully after a short illness in the care of Silver Springs Nursing Home, aged 92 years, beloved husband of his late wife June Fardon, loving father of son Peter and his late daughter Katy.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
