TURNER, Margaret Joyce (née Poole) (Margie).

– Ron and Mark wish to thank all of Margie’s family and friends who attended Margie’s celebration of her life, and for helping us to share so many happy memories and stories of Margie at the reception afterwards. Also thanks to everyone who expressed their condolences and sent cards and messages, and those who kindly sent donations in memory of Margie to Durrell Wildlife who will place a plaque in her memory near the flamingos. Our thanks to Beth Lloyd for leading the service and capturing the very essence of Margie so perfectly. Thanks also to Isabel and Filomena at Isabelas for supplying the very tasty buffet, to Glenn Trehiou at Surville for his understanding and kindness, to doctors Pippa Le Page, Caroline Jenkins and staff nurse Trina for the care and kindness they gave Margie. To Judith Freeman at Durrell for all her help, and to Floralies for Margie’s beautiful floral tributes. Our thanks also to Samantha Rawlinson for her support during a very difficult time. Finally, our sincere thanks to Shane Hatherley of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for his support, patience, thoughtfulness and compassion in interpreting our needs and requests and providing a truly beautiful service that Margie will have been so pleased to have had. Margie is now with the Angels, but will remain in our hearts forever XX.

These tears I shed today are because I miss you so much.

FARDON, Charles Alastair (Terry)

Died peacefully after a short illness in the care of Silver Springs Nursing Home, aged 92 years, beloved husband of his late wife June Fardon, loving father of son Peter and his late daughter Katy.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Passed peacefully away in hospital on Sunday, 13 March, 2022, aged 92 years, after suffering a stroke.

Now at peace.

Much-loved husband of Lesley, treasured Dad of Angela and Fiorenzo. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends in Italy, the UK and Jersey.
