DWYER, Chris

Passed away peacefully in the tender and beautiful care of Beech Ward staff on Friday, 4 February, 2022. Chris was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth ‘Lily’ Dwyer, courageous and dearly loved father to Angela and Charmaine Dwyer. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral Service

Due to previous Covid restrictions affecting the funeral of Lily, a joint funeral mass will be held for both Chris and Lily on Friday, 18 February at 1.30 pm at St Thomas’s Roman Catholic Church.

By request, please take a lateral flow test prior to attending the funeral mass.

The family wish to especially thank all the wonderful Beech and Maple ward staff including the team and ward doctors, GP and Karen Westerby for the incredible, compassionate care they gave to Chris. Their kindness will never be forgotten.

MARTIN, Joseph

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, aged 88 years at Jersey General Hospital on Saturday, 5 February, 2022, much-loved husband of the late Wanda Martin and dearly loved father of Danny. Joe was adored by his two granddaughters Katy and Lucy, and by his great-granddaughter Marlow. Joe will also be greatly missed by his daughter-in-law Ruth and his family in Ireland.

PELLETIER, Jean Velenda (née Sharp)

Passed away peacefully at the Jersey General Hospital on Thursday, 3 February, 2022, aged 90 years, loved and respected Mum to Marc, Chris and Alain. She will be greatly missed by all her family and her friends.

Funeral Service

Velenda’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, 24 February at 11.30 am in St Patrick’s Catholic Church.

A private cremation will follow.

WAKEHAM, Christopher Allen

Passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, 29 January, 2022, aged 66 years, beloved son of the late Gordon and Maureen, much-loved brother of Susan, Alison and the late Nicholas, brother-in-law of Edward and Eddie, special uncle to Melissa, Gary and his wife Sophie, and great-uncle to Tommy and George.
