Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Beaumont Villa on Saturday, 23 October, 2021, aged 93 years, much-loved wife of the late Alan, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends in both Jersey and abroad.

Funeral Service

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Maud are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, St Helier on Thursday, 11 November at 1 pm.

MANSELL, Peter William (Pete)

Passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Wednesday, 20 October, 2021, aged 83 years, husband to Rita, Dad to Jacqui and Leslie, father-in-law to Jon, Grandad to Claire, Waz, Aaron, Josh and Sarah as well as Alex, Louise and Laura, great-Grandad to Titus, Aelia and Athena, brother to Donald, Lawrence and Michael. A friend to everyone he met.

The service will be followed by a private cremation.

SMITH, Colin Stuart

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Jersey Hospice Care on Sunday, 24 October, 2021, aged 86 years, devoted husband of 59 years to Maureen, adored father to Karen and Samantha, much-loved father-in-law to Glenn and Jason, doting Grandpa to Oliver, Hannah, Caspar and Rufus, beloved brother to Alan and Barbara and their families.

A true gentleman and family man who will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Brenda, Andrew, Nicole and family would like to thank everyone who attended Phil’s funeral service, it was comforting to see so many family and friends, and many thanks to all who sent cards and donations to Phil’s chosen charities. Special thanks to Dr Bonn, Anand and the caring staff at Clifton Nursing Home. Our thanks to Father Nick Barry of St Luke’s Church who conducted a memorable service to celebrate Phil’s life, the States of Jersey Ambulance Service and St John Ambulance for granting Phil’s wishes, Phil’s four colleagues who acted as pall bearers, Phil’s golfing friends and St John Ambulance friends for their tribute at the church, Steve Bouchard for the eulogy, and also thank you to the staff at the ambulance and fire stations for their show of respect as we drove by. Thanks to the Corbière Phare for the refreshments and finally, a special thanks to Paul Battrick of Pitcher & Le Quesne for his kindness and professional help with arranging Phil’s funeral, and his care and compassion to us as a family.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Lakeside Residential Home on Friday, 22 October, 2021, in her 101st year, loving sister to Joan and the late Laurence, Edward, Stanford, Grace and Margaret, a much-loved aunt to her nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
