VAUGHAN, Samuel Edward

How do you say goodbye to a soul so grand,

Farewell to a man that has always had a plan?

If something was broken you would mend it so fast,

When you built things they were built to last!

The body you borrowed had gone too far again and again.

In proper Papa fashion when things can’t be fixed,

You build something bigger and better from your bag of tricks.

The time had come all you could do was done, all your goodbyes had been said,

You were ready to go, to be free, to fly and explore the unknown, to leave your mark as Samuel Vaughan.

– Lots of love Rochelle, Chantelle, Maia and JJ x-X-x.

VAUGHAN, Samuel Edward

When your Dad’s the strongest man in the world, who you’re sure will live forever,

You have few words to explain his strength or courage, except it will inspire me forever and ever.

He entered the world on an echo, from his welsh forefathers of old,

His singing voice I inherit as it has laced my heart with gold.

You left this world on an eclipse Dad, as you moved with the sun and the moon.

I’m not sure how to live on in a world without you, but will try hard to follow your tune.

– Love from your proud son and daughter Kevin and Teresa x x.

VAUGHAN, Samuel (Sam) ‘The singing Welsh man’

Passed away after a long illness bravely borne, aged 93 years.

The Rose Beyond the Wall.

A rose once grew where all could see, sheltered beside a garden wall,

And as the days passed swiftly by, it spread its branches straight and tall…

One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide,

The rose bent gently toward its warmth then passed beyond to the other side…

Now you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted – the rose blooms there – its beauty even greater now, nurtured by God’s own loving care.

– With love from your ever-loving wife of 65 years, Dot x.
