DE GRUCHY, Lawrence Charles.
– Maureen and the family would like to thank everyone for the love and support that has flowed in since Lawrence’s death. We have been overwhelmed with the kindness shown, the many cards and lovely tributes to a very special man. To Rev Geoff Houghton for such a beautiful service and for his compassion, to Mr Nick Cabot MBE, and the first-class choir of Trinity Church, your music and singing was much appreciated, and to Eric and Greg for their very evocative eulogies for a man who never wasted a minute, he would have approved! To the Honorary Police of Trinity, who paved the way for the cortege, a big thank you. To Alicia and everyone at Maillards, thank you for making this sad passing more comfortable for everyone and for caring for Lawrence so well, and to St Martin’s Flower Club for the beautiful flowers.
He would have been so proud of all the grandchildren, carrying his coffin on his final journey and for the beautiful readings.
Thank you all so much.
