Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Monday, 2 November, 2020, aged 90 years, dearest cousin to Pamela, and deeply missed by her nephew Neill and niece Beverley, she was so fond of them both.

ASHBY, Joyce.

Derrick, Karen, Nicky, Lawrence and Brooke Slatter would like to say a huge thank you for the care, understanding and support over the loss of Joyce. Thank you to the States of Jersey Ambulance Service Nathan, Adam and David. To Andy Errington-Rennell from Pitcher & Le Quesne for his guidance and assistance in planning and carrying out a very beautiful funeral fitting of a lady such as Joyce. Rev Mark Bond for a beautiful service celebrating Joyce’s life, and to all who attended Joyce’s funeral. Last of all but importantly, to Dr Julie Le Cornu, Sandra, Angela and Maria for giving Joyce the quality of life whilst still being in her own home.

Sarah, Charles and Lynne thank all family and friends who attended the service, and Father Matthew for guiding us through all parts. Special thanks to Paul Battrick MBE for his care, tolerance and empathy, and to everyone at Jersey Hospice, our appreciation for the wonderful care that Brian received.

Stella, Stephen and Robert would like to thank everyone who attended Sylvia’s funeral service, and family, friends and neighbours who sent cards, letters and messages of condolence.

A special thanks to Family Nursing Care, who enabled Sylvia to stay at home for so long, to the Hollies Day Care Centre, to Dr. David Howell, and to all the wonderful staff at L’Hermitage Care Home who looked after Sylvia so well over the last two years.

Finally, thank you to Paul Battrick of Pitcher & Le Quesne and Rev. Dawn Saunders for their kindness and support over the past few weeks.

Passed away peacefully on Friday, 13 November, 2020, in the loving care of the wonderful team at Les Hoûmets Care Home, at the age of 92. Taken from us too soon but gone to meet Derek for their final journey together. Mother to Chris and Nick, mother-in-law to Sue, grandmother to Gemma and Andrew, a very proud great-grandmother to little Euan. We are all already missing her enormously, safe journey Mum.
