CABOT, Buzz (Edward).
– Pam, Judith, Janet, Tony, Richard and all Buzz’s grandchildren would like to thank family and friends from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support we have received from Buzz’s passing, the cards, letters, beautiful flowers and donations to Maison Des Landes. Special thanks to Janet for her moving eulogy to Dad, Canon Geoff Houghton from Trinity Church and Mark Burke from Maillards for everything they have done to help make saying goodbye to Buzz so much easier, nothing has ever been too much trouble, the music played by Nick Cabot was beautiful, thank you Nick. Many thanks to Dr James Keir and partners from the Lido Medical Centre for the care of Buzz over the years, to DJ Nelson for streaming the funeral so friends and family here and off Island could join in the service and say their goodbyes. Heartfelt thanks to Pauline, Alex and the angels at La Haule Care Home for allowing us to spend time with Buzz during his last few days, you will never know how much that meant to us all. The care, love and support that you have given not only Buzz but all of us as a family over the past two years will never be forgotten.

– Sally, Giorgina, Marcello, Ian, Jenny and family wish to pass on our thanks following the sudden passing of Maurizio. Thank you to the paramedics, Green Watch West and team at Accident & Emergency for the assistance and care provided to Maurizio and us. Thank you for the support and guidance from Shane and the team at De Gruchy’s Funeral Care. Thank you to Fr Johnpromise for the beautiful service and touching words summarising Maurizio’s life and contribution to the community. Thank you to everyone who sent flowers, condolence messages and shared memories of Maurizio, which were very much appreciated in these tough times, together with any donations made to Jersey Cheshire Home. Finally, thank you to Maurizio for being the man he was, a wonderful husband, father and Nonno, a friend and mentor to many and much-loved figure in the community.
Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Silver Springs Nursing Home on Tuesday, 19 January, 2021, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Alastair, loving step-mother to Fiona, Andrew, Iain and Alison, devoted aunt to Angela, Christopher, Elizabeth, Rosemary and Sandra. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Dave, John, Susan, Jonathon, Olivia, Nicholas, Tony and Hazel would like to thank all who attended the thanksgiving service for Betty’s life, and for all the cards and messages we have received. A thank you also to all who have made a donation in lieu of flowers to Betty’s preferred charities. The family would like to thank Dr Soomal and the wonderful staff of the Oncology Unit for the caring way they provided treatment over the last three years. Our thanks to the district nurses from Jersey Family Nursing & Home care, and to the Hospice Community Care team for their efficient and compassionate care during Betty’s last days. A special mention of Jay who went above and beyond on Betty’s last day, thank you. Thanks to Mark Barrett for a beautiful and moving service, and lastly, thanks to Neil Dingle of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for the all his compassionate and efficient organisation that ensured everything ran smoothly on the day.
We are reassured that Betty is now out of pain and suffering and at peace with her God.

Recently of Middle Winterslow, Wiltshire, loving husband of the late Edwina (née Chinn, of First Tower, St Helier), died at Winchester Hospital on Monday, 18 January, 2021, after a short but brave struggle with Covid-19, aged 87 years. Father of Tim, Justin, Giles and Piers, grandfather and great-grandfather, much loved and greatly missed by the whole family.
Private cremation in Salisbury, to be followed by a memorial celebration whenever conditions allow.
