HOGG, Theresa Jean

Died at the age of 93 on Friday, 19 March, 2021. She will be missed by her Jersey friends, Michael and Lizzie Payne, and Pamela and Edward Trevor. She will be long remembered by her family in the UK.

A private cremation, as wished by her, has taken place.

THACKER, Vavian (née Forster)

Passed away at home in the care of her loving family on Wednesday, 31 March, 2021, beloved wife of 53 years to Richard, adored mother of Jacqueline and Louise, and much-loved Grandma to Benjamin and Emily.

A private funeral will take place.

– Jackie, Nicholas, Marie, Andrew and family would like to extend their most sincere thanks and appreciation for your heartfelt messages of love and condolences that were received by cards, letters, telephone calls and flowers. Thank you to Canon Dominic for conducting the service with love and compassion during these difficult times of covid restrictions, also Andy and staff of Pitcher & Le Quesne for their sensitive guidance, Dr Hurry and Dr Kerr, not forgetting the loving and devoted caring staff of Beaumont Villa and L’Hermitage and everyone who came into contact and cared for Alastair during his long last journey. Finally thank you to all who kindly gave donations in memory of Alastair to Dementia Jersey and to the Jersey Lifeboat Association (JLA). This is very much appreciated.

MILES, Marion Edith (née Greaves)

Marion passed away very peacefully on Monday, 29 March, 2021, aged 88 years, in the special care of Rozel Ward at the General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late David and mother of the late Nigel (Richard). Rest in peace. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral Service

Marion’s funeral service will be held at St Brelade’s Parish Church, followed by a private cremation.

DERRIEN, Eunice Lucille (née Hidrio)

Passed peacefully away at the General Hospital on Friday, 26 March, 2021, in her 96th year. Reunited with her late husband George, loving mother of Rozanne and the late Andrea, mother-in-law to Peter, devoted grandmother to Penelope, Antonia, Odonea, Jonathan and Gaynor, and a special great-grandmother.

Funeral Service

Eunice’s funeral service will be at St Martin’s Catholic Church, followed by an interment in St Martin’s Catholic Cemetery.
