QUERÉE, Arthur.
Mollie, Pam and Rosemary would like to thank family, friends and all those who sent cards, letters, flowers and messages of sympathy at this difficult time. Each and every one has been a great comfort and appreciated by us all. Our sincere thanks to all those who attended the celebration and thanksgiving service for Arthur, and to those who weren’t able to attend but signed the book of remembrance at St Ouen’s Parish Hall. We are grateful to Rev Nico Hilmy-Jones and Deacon Sally Wheadon for conducting such a special service, to Alan Mollet for playing the organ, Ken Syvret MBE for the tribute, Sarah Quenault for her solo, and Ruth Smith and Julia Norris for the flowers. Special thanks for all the support we received from the team at Ebenezer, Trinity Honorary Police and St Ouen’s Honorary Police for their escort from Trinity back to St Ouen. We are also grateful to the Connétable of St Ouen for his thoughtful gestures on behalf of the parish, including flying the flag at half mast. Arthur received great care from his GP Dr Justin Harris, the doctors and staff at the General Hospital, and at Les Charrieres and Clifton Nursing homes, for which we are very grateful. The Jersey Women’s Refuge and the Shelter Trust were two local charities close to Arthur’s heart and we would like to thank everyone who has made a donation. Finally, our sincere thanks to Mark Burke and the staff at Maillards for their professionalism and kindness.
