Pollard, Malcolm (Mac) – Teresa, Nicola & Carmel would like to thank family, friends, neighbours, and all those who sent messages of kindness, cards & letters and who made telephone calls during this sad time. Each and every one was of such great comfort to us all. Thank you to Father Michael Phillips for conducting the service in such a kind and compassionate manner. Thanks to Mac Macready for his words about Mac and The Connétable of St Peter, Richard Vibert, for the Eulogy. Special thanks must go to Laura, Honor, Joe & Alfie for their beautiful musical tribute and for their special memories of Grandpa. Thanks also to Malcolm Lamy for playing the organ and for his wonderful ‘Glen Millar Big Band’ musical arrangement. Very special thanks to Ivor Barrett for his beautifully turned out horses that took Mac for his final trip down the green lanes which was his last wish, and also to everyone that turned out along the way to give him a wave goodbye. Thanks to the Parish of St Peter, St Peter’s Honorary Police and all the Parish staff for their kindness and help and for the use of the Parish Hall for the wake. Grateful thanks also to Matthew Wainwright and his team for the catering. To the doctors and staff at the general hospital, particularly the nurses on Portlet Ward and the ICU who looked after Mac so well, your exceptional care was so very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone that has donated to Diabetes Jersey in memory of Mac. Finally, a special thanks to Paul Battrick and Pitcher and Le Quesne for all their kindness, compassion, and assistance, enabling Mac to have the wonderful send-off that we all wished for.
