Gav, it has been six years since we lost you but to us, it seems like only yesterday. We miss that happy, cheerful, bubbly, infectious character which has affected the lives of our family and friends considerably. And for a little man, you have left a big void that can’t be filled. But our loss is heaven’s gain, and no doubt you are keeping them all amused up there!

Passed away peacefully at Jersey Hospice Care on Sunday, 2 August, 2020, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

BISSON, Doreen Mary (née Le Sueur).

Marian, Pam and Vic and all the family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their cards and messages of condolence, and for the charitable donations given in Doreen’s memory. Our grateful thanks to the manager and staff of Maison St Brelade for their wonderful care of Doreen during her time with them, Rev Mark Barett and everyone at St Andrew’s Church for a lovely funeral service, and Alicia and the team at Maillards for their compassionate and professional care over the last few weeks.

BUXTON, Kenneth (Ken).

Caroline, Nicola and Adam would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the many messages of love and support, cards, flowers and generous donations in memory of Ken. Due to the current situation, we had a very small and private service. Our sincere thanks to Father Johnpromise who led the mass with great kindness and humour, and to Ken Browne and the staff at De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for their excellent guidance. We are beyond grateful to the incredible team on Rozel Ward who cared for Dad with such compassion, as well as to Dr Ryan for his care of Dad over the years. A final thank you must go to the wonderful staff of Ronceray, Lakeside and Orchid Homecare.

GONCALVES, Joao Gabriel Da Costa

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 4 August, 2020, aged 54 years, beloved husband of Ana, much-loved Daddy to Ricardo and Gabby, loving AVÓ (Grandad) to Holly and Sofia. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

SMITH, Penelope (Penny) (née Power)

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 29 July, 2020, at the Royal Derby Hospital, aged 79 years, beloved Mum of Paul.

Penny’s memorial service will be held at Bramcote Crematorium, Bramcote on Monday, 17 August at 9.45 am.
