TURPIN, Bernard James (Bernie)

Passed away peacefully at Jersey Hospice Care on Thursday, 30 July, 2020, after a long battle with cancer, loving father of Eileen and Jimmy, father-in-law to Warren and Lyn, grandfather of Taye, Gareth, Ryan, Diesel, Julie, Tony, Rebecca, Billy and Sally and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Passed away suddenly but peacefully, on Friday, 24 July, 2020, after a long illness, beloved wife of the late David, loving mother of Jonathan and Alison. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

JERVIS, Graham John

Celebrating the life of Graham John Jervis. 2 June, 1935 – 22 March, 2020.

Saturday, 15 August at 2 pm, La Cloture, Route de La Villaise, St Ouen, JE3 8EU.

Due to the breakout of the Covid-19 crisis at the end of March, we were unable to hold the funeral that our father, Graham Jervis, deserved. Therefore, we would like to invite all those who wish to join us in a celebration of his life, to a small gathering, appropriately socially distanced, at the family home.

Maureen, Paul, Peter, Simon and John would like to sincerely thank relatives, friends and neighbours for their words of kindness during this sad time. Thank you to Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh for the wonderful and heartfelt service and his kind words of advice in the days preceding. Thank you to Bob Little for a very caring, kind and funny eulogy. Also to Sonia, Jared and Hannah for their beautiful readings and prayers. To Peter’s work colleagues at Airline Services, the travel trade and the Eurolads whose messages were of great comfort. To Pat Wood for her unfailing help, support and advice during Peter’s final weeks. To the doctors and staff at the Jersey Oncology Department, and Island Medical Centre for looking after Peter so well. To the Moorings Hotel for their excellent catering, and finally, to Paul Battrick and staff at Pitcher & Le Quesne for their kind and professional service.

We’ll meet again.

Received a quiet family funeral at the crematorium on Tuesday, 4 August.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, 30 July, 2020, in his 95th year. Dearly loved husband of 65 years to Eileen, proud and loving father to James, Julie and Dave, and stepson Barry, devoted Papa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Forever in our thoughts.
