HERBERT, Sylvia (née Bennett)

Much-loved wife of Richard and mother of Christopher, died suddenly on Friday, 24 April, 2020.

Sylvia taught at Jersey College for Girls in the 1960s.

Passed away peacefully in the tender loving care of Silver Lea at Silver Springs Care Home on Tuesday, 12 May, 2020, in her 91st year. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

LE ROY, Beryl Joan (née Lewis)

Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Lakeside Care Home, on Monday, 11 May, 2020, aged 94 years, wife of the late Charles. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

PHILIP, Iain

The Jersey Electrical Contractors’ Association would like to pass on our members’ condolences to the family and friends of Iain Philip. Iain’s Company, CFM, has been a member of our Association for many years and Iain was, until recently, a very active member, serving on the Committee and being instrumental in the Association’s modernisation project.

Iain will be remembered fondly by all of us at the JECA and we know we speak for the entire construction industry in saying that Iain’s enthusiasm and passion will be missed by everyone.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Jersey Hospice Care on Sunday, 10 May, 2020, aged 84 years, much-loved husband of the late Beryl, father of Stephen, Christopher and Martin, devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. Nick will be sadly missed.

ROCHE, Kevin Crawford b

05.12.1962.

Son of Barry and Myra Roche (née Crawford), in his 58th year, died at his home in Cornwall after a long, bravely fought battle with cancer, his mother and sister Andree by his side.

Submariner and Falklands veteran, Kevin wore his Dolphins with pride.

VANDENBORN, Helen (formerly Bailey) (née Stevenson)

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Clarkson House, with her devoted husband Len at her side on Saturday, 9 May, 2020, aged 67 years, a beloved mother and grandmother, and a fierce friend, who will be so deeply missed by so many.

GUÉGAN, Simonne (née Vautier)

Sim passed very peacefully away on Tuesday, 5 May, 2020, in her 93rd year, after a short illness while in the care of Le Petit Bosquet Care Home, beloved wife of the late Rodney (‘Gueg’), mother to Julian and the late Nick, and mother-in-law to Sheri and Rosa, very dear sister of Emile, Elaine, Germaine and Dionne, all of whom await her arrival in Paradise. She was a very special Nana Sim to her adored granddaughter Camilla and leaves her much-loved extended family of Carl, Claire, Jason, Emma, Lewis, Hope, Kalum and Grace as well as many nieces and nephews around the world whom she treasured.

Mum will forever be in our hearts and will be missed so much by us all.

Funeral Service

A private cremation will be held on Friday, 15 May.
