LEBÈGUE, Christine (née Smith)

It is with much sadness I have to announce the passing of my darling Chrissie on Friday, 6 February, 2026. A very dedicated and appreciated cashier for 44 years for Natwest Bank PLC. She loved France and travel with her French husband Pierre.

Taken from this life far too soon by Antenna Radiation Exposure, for which she spent 6 months in hospital.

A keen walker, cyclist, swimmer, skier and badminton player.

Gone to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus, which is far better.

Until the first resurrection,

MATTHEWS, Miss Melba

Died peacefully at home on Saturday, 31 January, 2026, age 97.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 5 February, 2026, in the loving care of Les Petit Bosquet Care Home. Beloved husband of Violet, cherished father of Shane and Donna, father-in-law to Sarah and Austen and adored Papa to Melissa and Jamie.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 4 February, 2026, at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Sam, Mum to Tim and Matt and Nana to Zahra, Ayesha, Cosmo, Atalie and Kaia. Penny will be deeply missed by all her loved ones.

DE STE CROIX, Antony (Tony/Diz)

Sadly, Tony passed away peacefully on Saturday, 31 January, 2026, aged 80, adored husband of Sheila, much-loved brother of Daphne, treasured uncle and great uncle to his nieces and nephews. Loved and respected by his Jersey and Australian family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Jersey, England, Lyon France and Australia.

Loved and cherished always and he will never be forgotten.

Of Jersey Channel Islands, and St Michael’s Road, Tipperary Town. A much-loved wife, mother, Granny, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, 31 January, 2026. Beloved wife of Tim, devoted and much-loved Mum of Simon, Stephen and Paul, mother-in-law to Claire and Paul’s fiancée Katy, cherished Granny to Fergus and Finnian, dear sister of Patrick and sister-in-law to Helen. Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

Passed peacefully away in the loving care of St Joseph’s Care Home on Friday, 30 January, 2026, aged 97 years. Reunited with her much-loved husband Denis, loving mother and mother-in-law of Jackie, Anne and Andre, Alan and Isabelle and the late Richard. Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, 3 February, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Lynne, a true love story that spanned 60 remarkable years, built on deep affection, laughter and a partnership that inspired everyone around them. Beloved and cherished father of Chantelle and Giselle, respected father-in-law and dear friend to Jerry and Cliff and adored and very proud Poppa of Bradley, Harry and Piers.

Peter lived his life guided by true values, dedicating his heart wholly to the family he loved above all else. His honest warmth, loyalty, selfless nature and quiet strength touched all, and his friendships, shared with such generosity of spirit and unwavering love, were treasured by all who knew him.

Forever held in our hearts, his memory will be everlasting.
