Passed away peacefully in the care of Jersey Hospice on Wednesday, 27 August, 2025, aged 58 years. João will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

HENRY, Royston Alfred (Roy)

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the tender loving care of the wonderful staff at Le Petit Bosquet on Tuesday, 26 August, 2025, aged 81 years, beloved husband of 55 years to Gloria, adored father to Lee and Lisette, much-loved father in-law to Anne-Marie and Mark and treasured Papa to Matilda, Priseis and Leon. Roy’s passing leaves a huge void that will never be filled, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

My darling Rory, you were my best friend, my soulmate and we were an incredible team. I loved you with all my heart and I have been blessed to share my life with such a wonderful, loving and selfless person. Thank you for all of the love and laughter and the many amazing adventures. I will miss you my chickie, until we meet again, your heartbroken wife, Glor x.

To our amazing Dad and Papa,

If we could write a story, it would be the greatest ever told, of a kind, loving and selfless man who had a heart of gold. We could write a million pages but still be unable to say, just how much we love you and will miss you every day.

McAVOY, Robert Campbell (Major)

Passed away peacefully at the Jersey General Hospital on Thursday, 28 August, 2025, aged 93. A fond farewell from his children, Jacqueline, Andrew and Jemma, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert will be sadly missed. Special thanks to the staff on Rozel Ward at the Jersey General Hospital. Also to the staff at Maison La Corderie who looked after him so well in his final years.

Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Sunday, 17 August, 2025, in his 94th year, adored husband of the late Olive, much-loved father of Denis and Monique, Peter and Lesley, Susan and Philip, Frank and Linda and James and Caroline. Frank was a wonderful grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather who will be so deeply missed by so many. Reunited with his beloved Olive.
