GARTON, Carol Ann

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 11 May, 2025, just after her 88th birthday, beloved wife of David, mother of Andrew, Simon and John and grandmother to Jessica, Lucy, Beth and Emily.

Carol was one of life’s true characters and filled the room with happiness. She always made you feel special and welcome whatever the occasion and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service

Relatives and friends wishing to attend Carol’s funeral service are invited to meet at Sacred Heart Church, St Aubin on Wednesday, 18 June, at 10 am and afterwards at Llangorse.

Smart casual dress, but no mourning clothes.

No flowers please.

Died aged 92 on Saturday, 12 April, 2025, in the loving care of Jersey Hospice.

A longtime good friend to the Littlewood family, she will be missed by us and her Jersey friends.

Died in Devon on Monday, 5 April, 2025, at the age of 90, much-loved wife of the late John Murgatroyd, mother of Philip and Michael and grandmother of Amelie, Paul and Sarah. Will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Passed away peacefully at Cheval Roc Nursing Home on Tuesday, 6 May, 2025, in his 86th year, in the presence of his beloved wife Jill, and his loving sister Angela. Wife of Terry Carre, passed away on Wednesday, 16 April, 2025, peacefully with her children by her side.

Memorial Service

Following a cremation in Newcastle we will be holding a memorial for all of her Jersey family and friends on Friday, 30 May, 1.15 pm at St Thomas’ Church, St Helier.

The family welcome people back to The Royal Hotel, David Place, St Helier, after the service to continue the celebration of Maggie’s life.
