Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Oak Ward, on Monday, 15 February, 2016, aged 93 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving sister Heather and family. Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Manor Care Home, on Wednesday, 10 February, 2016, aged 87 years, beloved wife of Michael, loving mother of Catherine and Malcolm, devoted Granny and great-Granny Sue to six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A dedicated member of the Women’s Institute for many years, Sue held office in her local branch before becoming Island Secretary, and Island Chairman from 1980-1983. Funeral details to follow. Florence passed away on Wednesday, 27 January, 2016, in Saskatoon, Canada, aged 99 years. Formerly a registered nurse at the General Hospital from 1946, she emigrated to Canada in 1957, joining her father and sister and family in Saskatoon. Until her recent illness, Florence remained fiercely independent and relished the company of friends and family. Florence will be remembered with great and enduring love by a close network of friends and by her family. A memorial service took place at St Steven’s Church, in Saskatoon on Monday, 1 February. Interment will take place in Jersey at the Crematorium Rose Garden.
