I write this for you Grandad, as tears roll down my face, A part of me died that night, a part I can’t replace. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer, And saw you fade away. Although we love you dearly, We could not make you stay. You were my grandfather, my friend and my Dad, You guided us all, forever smiling, never sad, I miss you so much Grandad more than words can tell, I will look after Nanny I promise, I will keep her safe and well. So now the time has finally come as hard as it may seem, To say I love you so much Grandad, goodnight, God bless, sweet dreams.

Dear Dad, I can’t bring myself to say goodbye because I know we will meet again one day. You are going to a place where there’s no pain nor suffering, to a place where Lynne is waiting. I remember how your words and wisdom gave me strength. You were always there to listen, love and defend me in everything. You were my very best friend. In my achievements you were always proud, I’m grateful and proud to call you my Dad, Here deep inside my heart you’ll always be, Where you will remain each and every day. I love you and miss you and thank God that he gave me you.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Clarkson House, on Monday, 7 January, 2013, with her family at her side, aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late John, a much-loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all her loving family and many friends. Died peacefully at the General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, 8 January, 2013, aged 90 years. Gone to be with Jesus and reunited with his beloved wife Nellie.
