BUB, Julian Stanley

Julian S Bub passed away peacefully in London on Tuesday, 10 February, 2026, aged 81 years, after a long fight with lung disease. Beloved husband of Naomi, and father to Carissa and David.

Julian spent many delightful years in Jersey as Managing Director of Chase (JPMorgan Chase) Bank. He also held the position of President of the Jersey Bankers’ Association, and contributed to island life as a passionate photographer, both winning awards and fundraising for Jersey Hospice.

The funeral service took place on Monday, 16 February, at Golders Green Crematorium in London.

He will be missed by his family and so many friends worldwide.

BROWN, Gillian (née Stenning) (Gill)

Aged 78 years, Gill passed away peacefully on Saturday, 14 February, 2026. A much-loved wife to Trevor, mother to Paul, mother-in-law to Claire and Nana to Evie. Gill will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

Passed away peacefully at Sandybrook Nursing Home on Sunday, 15 February, 2026, beloved husband of Angelina, devoted Pai to Chico and Mario and avô to Kat, Nat and Gabriel. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends in Jersey and Portugal.

ORMSBY, Maureen

Beloved wife of Mike, mother of Philip, David and Andrea, mother-in-law to Clare, Terry and Lisa, grandmother of Matthew and Mansi, Emilie and Scott and twins Toby and Finlay and great-grandmother of Freya. Maureen died peacefully in her sleep in Devon after a short illness. Mike and Andrea were by her side.

Due to be 88 next month and in her 58th year married happily to Mike.

Remembering 47 happy years in Jersey and her many wonderful friends.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will take place at the Church of St Cyr and Julitta, Newton St Cyres, Exeter at 2 pm on Friday, 6 March.
