MOREL, Valerie Joyce (née Bannier)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Morel Valerie Joyce (Val) née Bannier, who passed away peacefully on Monday, 3 November, 2025, aged 86 years. Reunited with her beloved late husband John, Val was a much-loved mother to Terry and Alison, mother-in-law to Jeannine and Paul, a cherished grandmother to her three granddaughters, Shauni, Lauren and Rebecca and her two grandsons, Nathan and James. Val was also a proud great-grandmother to Lily. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and many dear friends.

Val’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 3 December, at 10 am in the Royal Jersey Showground, Trinity.

At the family’s request, and in accordance with Val’s wishes, no flowers please, but donations in her memory may be made to Family Nursing and Home Care, Jersey.
